Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, originally released in 1994, has been “fully optimized to run out-of-the-box on today’s operating systems,” according to an announcement from GOG.com. The release of those games comes just weeks after Blizzard and GOG teamed up to re-release the original Diablo for modern computers. They must now go beyond the seas and conquer the Kingdom of Lordaeron, where the Humans and their allies have been preparing for the invasion.Blizzard Entertainment’s classic real-time strategy games Warcraft: Orcs & Humans and Warcraft 2 Edition are now available for purchase through GOG.com. Meanwhile the Orcs, although divided by many internal feuds, decide to follow a powerful new warlord Orgrim Doomhammer in pursuit of the Humans. The Humans then try to rally the different races populating the region such as the High Elves and the Dwarves in order to form a coalition capable of repelling the horde. Survivors led by Anduin Lothar fled by sea to the Kingdom of Lordaeron. Like its prequel, Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness takes place in the medieval-fantasy world of Warcraft in which, following the events of the first game, the human kingdom of Azeroth has been invaded by the Orcs. Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness is the official sequel of the original Warcraft: Orcs & Humans.

The PC and Macintosh versions were published in North America by Blizzard Entertainment in 1995 and in Europe by Ubisoft in 1996. Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness is a real-time strategy video game developed by Blizzard Entertainment.
